Scarves scarves scarves!

The past few weeks I've been all about making scarves! Take a look-

This one I started by taking 3 strands of the Simply Soft yarn in complimentary colors and a 9mm crochet hook and just single crocheted and off I went!
When it got to the desired length, I make a half twist and then sewed the ends together to make an infinity scarf.
Turned out pretty nice!

And then I started an Etsy shop and made a bunch of these cowl scarves with half double crochet stitches and a half twist before sewing the ends together. Here's a few-

All the same but different colors :) I want to keep them all!!! :)

Lincoln's Fall Craft :)

Visited my sister and the kids and decided that we needed to start crafting! Found some cute toddler crafts on Pinterest (of course!) and so here's what we did-

Melissa Kate and I started by tracing Lincoln's hands and forearms to make the tree trunks and then painted them in with the brown. When that was dry, we then let Lincoln go to town on the canvas with his finger painting to make the falling leaves and whalah! A masterpiece!

Isn't he talented??

Gweny's baby blanket and scarf for a friend

Its been a while since I've posted anything on here but here's what I've been up to!

My sister had her baby #2! And it's a GIRL!! Yay! Another gender specific blanket! Haha, so I found this really neat stitch that's called the Basket Weave stitch and I'm totally loving it, pretty quick and super simple. Here's a few photos...

This is what it looks like up close as I started the blanket.

This is me with it finished in length, now to sew in the ends!

And here's sweet Gweny in the headband I made to match her blanket :) The color appears to be different but that's because I used an instagram filter when taking this and the next photo.
Isn't she just a doll?? I adore her!!!

I liked the stitch so much that I used the left over pink yarn (and then some!) to make this scarf for a friend with breast cancer.

And here's the finished product of the scarf!
No instagram filter.. so this shows the true color. Nice and chunky and cozy! Need to make one for myself next! ;)
